BetFury has announced a new play-to-earn game in conjunction with BurgerCities.
The new game offers players the chance to win branded NFTs, promo coupons, and bonuses. According to BetFury, these rewards are part of "an ecosystem of crypto products for entertainment and additional income and BurgerCities."
In addition, a giveaway will take place at the conclusion of the transaction, with 100 branded NFTs being awarded to the winners. These winners will be selected through a combination of free spins and wagers that the platform will automatically add to the holders' balance.
While BetFury's platform is focused on providing bitcoin products with entertainment elements, BurgerCities is a MetaFi platform with its own decentralised exchange and NFTs.
The duration of the agreement has not yet been specified.
In the meanwhile, a recent Treasury assessment recommended that cryptocurrencies be treated in the UK like gambling.
A group of Members of Parliament has brought attention to the fact that digital currencies like Bitcoin are mostly utilised by criminals for money laundering, fraud, and scams, and have no inherent value.
concluding that because of their unstable nature, cryptocurrencies put customers at significant risk of losing money.
"The events of 2022 have highlighted the risks posed to consumers by the crypto asset industry, large parts of which remain a wild west," stated Harriett Baldwin MP, Chair of the Treasury Committee, in response to the report.
"Effective regulation is clearly needed to protect consumers from harm, as well as to support productive innovation in the UK’s financial services industry."
